CoastalWx
LOL, IDK, Scooter has evidently been building nuclear missiles in his basement and he has stated one of them is targeted for West Chesterfield. We love ya Joe. It's rather apparent that I am the most hated man in NE. You need not look any farther than my unjustified bannings and suspensions from OT and the MA sub-forum for evidence supporting that claim. In a few months when skiing is over and done with I'm looking forward to golfing with you and Cheetah. It's good to be alive whether it's hot or cold and you seem to love life. It's all good. You guys are sensitive. So much for the rugged AK skier.
CoastalWx
I think BOS will just fall short of matching the record, but I may be wrong. Edit: if this band keeps up maybe they get 0.5"

CoastalWx
9:15 update still no Logan info... Probably won't be in the PNS until after midnight, and Logan uses the Winthrop total now. They don't have an observer there anymore.
HIPPYVALLEY
Top of a hill comes through again. 4.5" in total as this interuption to Spring closes. Steap incline on the way home with cars (those little foreign jobs) strewn along the side spinning. Long live 4WD. One word to describe this so-called winter. "Putrid" in so many ways! I did record what might constitute a flash freeze - 6°F in a half hour around 3pm. My folks live up on the hill near you and they said there is a noticeable difference between E. Arlington and the Heights. Amazing how big a difference w/i town there.
weatherMA
I'm going with 6.1" total but it could be a little more but I'm going to go with the conservative total. Driving around today in Worcester up at 600-700' it looked like 7-8" but it could be deceiving.

HIPPYVALLEY
Just flurries now but there was 33 hours of non-stop snow. Totals based on the 3 times I measured is about 9" with a solid 6.5 - 7" otg and roof of the car right now after compaction. A little over 1" has fallen since noon. Solid warning event here, no disappointment. Honestly, outside of metro Boston and maybe the S. Coast nobody should really complain about this storm because a lot of people saw their best snow since Halloween. S. Berkshire reports are a little lower than I would have thought due to taint. Many warnings were issued by the mets on this board about what could go wrong and overall NWS Box did a pretty good job with their forecasts for C. and W. Ma. HIPPYVALLEY
Finished with 10" here in the Monads. 2 storms that hit double digits separated by 4 months! Unreal. My gut says you see one more decent event this year despite the modeled torch. Maybe you even see some accumulating sn-/pl tomorrow night before the rain. Either way the saturday torch will not be that bad for this area, there will still be solid snow cover come sunday morning.

HIPPYVALLEY
I've had nightmares about such things being true in March. I can't believe there was so much futility. We had a decent 10 day stretch of winter in Jan out here but that was it. This storm salvaged this area from having a historical fail. I'll take it. Today brought Greenfield to just under half of last years total and to 2/3 of the 20 year season average snowfall. (56")
HIPPYVALLEY
I agree. Will make it look more March-y...lol A few cold nights will ensure that this sticks around for a bit due to the relatively high water content. You and I will still have snow in the yard a week from now.

Zero double digit storm separated by 14 months! Boston has not seen more than 3.5 inches in a storm since feb 2nd 2011.
Clinch Leatherwood
I am fairly certain of that too. I'm also fairly certain this was about the worst imaginable way to do it too. If it's true that they aren't using Logan obs it's bull**** anyway. Regardless who cares, 2nd warmest Met winter ever in most major climo centers. If Boston hadn't pulled an inch in October it'd all be moot. It's snowing here too, and although we're far from futility because of a couple of events it's a toilet swirly winter. BxEngine
Your bannings from the MA forum are simply because the people that pull the strings cannot debate you so they pick up their marbles and go home. You and I agree on almost nothing as you've mentioned before but what I watched happen down there a few weeks ago. Bunch (two) of ******* and I'll glady say it to their faces at the conference. I want to go this year just for the rumble so you better show and I'll sponsor a few other SNE'ers if you'll do the same. As a group I'm sure we can out debate team zima. Anyway, snowing here now, epic winter continues. lol
