Amped
Front finally went through here. Temp below 30 now. What a challenge to get the east. Coming down to the end, it's gonna be close.
cheetah440
Not mine, my business partner's but he garages them here often. I jump on them to groom and to run the engines but I prefer skis. They're great for quick access to some cool glade skiing but I'd rather ski in/out when there is time. Nice. Tell him to trade them in for some cats. I'm slowly working my way back into it. Got a good leg burn today with a quick dozen runs.
wxsniss
check out the front... sites 2 vs. 3, about 7F difference across 1 mile at 8pm: Front finally went through here. Temp below 30 now. cheetah440
1936-1937 and 2006-2007 are the two that I know of...I do not know what the 3rd one is. I listed the stats on page 16 of the futility thread and only had 2 met winters worse than 7.7"...so I must have missed one, but it isn't '72-'73 or '79-'80 I thought 72-73 was 2nd worse for Boston followed by 79-80. I remember hearing stories about 72-73 as that was the year my stepfather bought the 73Cheetah440 and didn't ride it one time lol And 79-80 was an epic disaster, Blanford was bringing snow from the parking lot to fill in bare spots on Broadway. If history is any guide, we could be in for a good year next year. 95-96 was obviously a big year, and 81-82 was also a good year. And 92-93 followed a terrible year. CoastalWx
My God ... no wonder you haven't seen a flake of snow. And last year it pounded storm after storm. But it's probably more or less done for the year barring a fluke storm. Sometimes I wonder if it's foolish for spending so much time on storms that fail. Lord knows we've had our share. But I have friends here that will get in on the snow and I enjoy talking weather, so I stay on and post. It will be quiet season soon with only litchfield libations posting sun emoticons to himself. dendrite
Just some light flurries left...19F. Last sample was 0.7" new and 0.04" liquid. That makes the final snow total 9.7" with 0.75" w.e. The snow depth is now up to 10" after a little settling during the 30+ hr event. This is the highest the snow depth has been since Halloween morning. ctsnowstorm628
I just talked to my buddy working at NWS BTV and he is saying there is a lack of updated reports in the BTV area. He wants me to pass along the message that anyone in BTV's CWA should SEND REPORTS asap. Final here: 5.0" right on the nose. Thanks.

ROOSTA
Top of a hill comes through again. 4.5" in total as this interuption to Spring closes. Steap incline on the way home with cars (those little foreign jobs) strewn along the side spinning. Long live 4WD. One word to describe this so-called winter. "Putrid" in so many ways! I did record what might constitute a flash freeze - 6°F in a half hour around 3pm.

LOL, IDK, Scooter has evidently been building nuclear missiles in his basement and he has stated one of them is targeted for West Chesterfield. We love ya Joe. It's rather apparent that I am the most hated man in NE. You need not look any farther than my unjustified bannings and suspensions from OT and the MA sub-forum for evidence supporting that claim. In a few months when skiing is over and done with I'm looking forward to golfing with you and Cheetah. It's good to be alive whether it's hot or cold and you seem to love life. It's all good.
