CoastalWx
That beer is gonna taste good you will owe me when this event is over. Spiking the football on Feb 24th FTL. Calculators FTW. Your only lost bet this winter. What was the bet anyways? Was it that he would not see 5" for the rest of the winter? I remember joking with him about this exact storm...lol. MaineJayhawk
Same........ This is much better than it was earlier this morning. Wind is really whipping this flour around. Kids and I are going out sledding after lunch. That should be interesting if the rate continues as it is. I'll tote the camera along for that. DomNH
Probably about 1 mile vis right now so getting pretty close to moderate snow with great flakes. May approach double digits if this keeps up for a few hours.

ORH_wxman
Temps are really cold just to the north...cold tuck is incoming...ORH is 32 and AFN is 27F...MHT is 25F at low elevation.
CoastalWx
Yeah that he wouldn't set his futility record. So he had 5" left I guess. I'll laugh if he just eeks over his record, but then a late season bomb drops a foot of snow late this month of the hills, and he gets 3". I'm in the same boat. I'll probably just eek out enough snow to beat the record, although I have 10.2" on the season.

dendrite
Latest 6hr sample was about 3.0" new snow with 0.25" w.e. The added depth in the driveway is 7" with the blowing and drifting snow so that matches up with the summation of my 6hr totals. If there was no wind we'd probably be at about 8-9", but my place is pretty exposed to the N-NE side so there is no hiding from it. Storm total so far is 7.0" with 0.55" liquid. It's back down to -SN and 22F.

weatherMA
I had depths on the grass ranging from 4.0" to 6.7"....kind of surprised at such a huge range. My total so far is 5.7" though....accounting for compaction, and the fact that those measurements were on grass.
