Tropopause_Fold
Yeah...kinda AWT. Sucks for BOS. I was never overall huge on this event for areas outside of the hills of MA but did think BOS would manage several inches. Guess we will see what e afternoon holds. I was never overall huge on this event for areas outside of the hills of MA but did think BOS would manage several inches. Guess we will see what e afternoon holds. Tonight could have weenie flakes through the night as low level cold and inversion trap moisture. I actually could envision the black ice and FZDZ too possibly. ROOSTA
2" of Smashed potatoes. Water content is off the scale. I awoke at 4:25, ten minutes later a blue flash and power was gone. Silver-dollar flakage onging with temp slowly creeping down.

weathafella
FWIW KBOX fixed their snow map: http://www.erh.noaa.gov/box/StormTotalSnow/ I guess the expectation is that BOS gets a few inches from this afternoons stuff with the winds backing and bl less of an issue? Models flagged the bl for days and I should have paid closer attention.

weatherMA
FWIW KBOX fixed their snow map: http://www.erh.noaa....StormTotalSnow/ Still on the 8-10/10-14 line. And then have PNS of only 4-6" in this area so far so I guess they think we have a shot at 3-5 more?
Lava Rock
Yeah, that ain't happening. 0.8 or so of QPF should translate to around 10-12", which is way more reasonable in my weenie opinion. Big slowdown here. 0.5" added since 5:45. 3.4" event total thus far. yeah, just left for work and we had about 3.5" as well. Hardly snowing at all till I got to PWM. jack Suslak
Give Pete B, some credit after all, lot of us doubted him on his amounts along the coast and Boston, but it looks like he's been right. Its just a slushy inch on grass and nothing sticking on the ground in Lynn. Maybe later today we can get soe to stick when the winds shift.
