ORH_wxman
If we see widespread 10-16" totals in Maine (not just isolated), then big kudos to the SREFs for that part of New England.
weatherMA
OT and no big deal but 6z gfs had like an inch of snow in the early morning hours Saturday N of the pike followed by zr before the rain. 6z nam had the same but futher into NH. Not a big deal probably but 1" of snow and .1 of zr is noteworthy in this winter.

dendrite
Finally into the +SN with that band, but the wind has really cranked up so there's a lot of blowing and drifting. It's plummeted to 22F

weatherMA
Weird...we have these perfect LES type dendrites now even though the radar is diminishing. I was just going to say that...these are amazing. MJHUB
But they just issued this map? Yet in their afd they said some more light accum possible? I'm confused. at least this may has a more accurate description of both current and future projections. I have been hearing both by local mets and looking at models that there might be a 1-2 backside event this afternoon but won't bet anything on backside anything in these parts. it never happens. dendrite
Weird...we have these perfect LES type dendrites now even though the radar is diminishing. Same thing here...The heavy echoes were NE of me before the snow even started. The local RWIS stations are between 1/4-3/8SM now despite 10-15dBZ. Looks like we have a long lull after this though. ORH_wxman
Its snowing way better than you would think on radar...like perfect LES dendrites. And its not that light...its light snow...but legit 1 SM SN-....really good stuff.

codfishsnowman
we did get a bit more slushy snow overnight in between the rain and sleet, car hat at least a quater inch of new slush on it, so I am forced to add to my totals even though the depth has not changed or prob compacted a bit more...4.5 inches event total. reasonably i probably could have gone as high as fiv e but at this point who really cares

MaineJayhawk
Those crazy SREF totals in srn ME seem a bit much though. Yeah, that ain't happening. 0.8 or so of QPF should translate to around 10-12", which is way more reasonable in my weenie opinion. Big slowdown here. 0.5" added since 5:45. 3.4" event total thus far.
