weathafella
Posted this accidentally in other thread: When you step away from radar/keyboard and step outside, you appreciate how paltry this has been so far for Boston. I'm frankly not even sure KBOS has seen 0.5" yet. Not looking for the toaster yet as tomorrow morning still looks good, but so far, this has been a Halloween redux for Boston: actually decent flakes, looks like it's snowing pretty good, but then you look down at the ground and it's bare. The BL is just killing us. And like Halloween, just 5-10 miles inland will look much much better. Coastal called this exactly right. It has the feel of a 4/8 system. Unreal. BOS booked 0.9 through 7PM. Limping past futility....
40/70 Benchmark
GYX has a new map ... a little less wild with the pink shading ... Of course the snow capital of NE, Dendrite, is the jackppot.

MaineJayhawk
Looks like a little increase in SNH no? I can't tell if that's the shade for below 10-14 or above. The brightest pink along the border is 14-18"

powderfreak
I'm even less reliable as a source for forecasts than Blizz. I'll think storms in July have the potential, however remote, to deliver good snow to the highlands. That said I've felt all afternoon that this had over performer written all over it. At least for here. What are you expecting for snowfall? And the theory question is...if you expect it to over-perform, how does that impact your expectations?
