MJHUB Posted February 29, 2012 Share Posted February 29, 2012 snowgrowth is terrible at home, was great in Cranston up on 295 roads were starting to be covered, temp was around 32. Came down the hill into providence temp went up to 34. snow barely sticking to the grass and trees there. Even with box's updated map now I think 2-3 tops at the house and maybe 5 at work. I think you end with 5" or so from round 1 then maybe nickel and dime your way to 6" total with some shtty snow growth snow and pingers tomorrow morning while ORH gets dumped on. The temp has continued to fall even though precip has been very light or non-existant. This heavier band is actually producing light snow with a few sleet pellets. Correct. went 4.5" for Kev...said no way northern CT averages 5" actually. This morning if you reference the map I posted, I had northern CT in 3-5" with a small location in Tolland cty just into the 5-8" (so really 5-6" was what I was trying to convey).
