ROOSTA
Stakes high. Large gradiant, elevation dependent. Sounds like Spring. Honestly I personally lost interest, whatever. Would have rather set the record. MBY should do well either side of 10" give or take an inch. We shall see. Always fun to watch unfold.

moneypitmike
What's changed since the 6am map? Totals look the same to me. The ealrier one didn't have the 8-10" zone (I don't think).

ORH_wxman
My one fear is your earlier comment. That second batch of precip could be very convective and perhaps stay over CT/RI and SE MA. Basically in areas that have questionable mid level and boundary levels. I just hope it can move and blossom overhead, rather than stay congealed and not really move to the north, well into SNE. I think that is my biggest concern. I hope the Euro and NAM are right. I think the overnight batch will produce...we start getting actual Atlantic inflow in the mid-levels which always very good. Take FWIW since its the RUC beyond 6 hours...but even it shows the beginning of that crushing period around 09z at the end of its run.

HoarfrostHubb
Why? Though there is always the potential for a change to rain - and I expect that near the coast, with a mix of precipitation from the Massachusetts Turnpike southward overnight Wednesday night into Thursday - my reasoning for keeping amounts down actually comes thousands of feet above our heads. The temperature though a deep layer of the snow-producing cloud layer over New England is sub-freezing - warm enough for snow - but not cold enough for efficiently accumulating snow crystals. Rather, the temperature aloft is supportive of some of the worst kind of accumulating flakes that can develop. As a result, I've kept amounts reasonable. I only throw that out there as a what can go wrong deal for this area..if something were to bust. I do feel better and better about it, but the stakes are high with that for my area. I'm not get 16" and Bob isn't getting a foot. If anything, it shows the electrical tub potential very close to you. Besides, it's probably a good bet to be a little cautious in areas on the fence. Will and Ray look great for now...hoping this area does well. If we had a cold airmass, I'd easily be over a foot with ocean effect stuff and CF. SGZ is not optimal to get 10:1+ ratios in southern areas. I think we'll see 6-8:1 type stuff.
