Catskills
I think I'm going to start planting outside on Sunday. The last frost date average is 5/28 locally, but... This rain will really kick us into spring.
Flying MXZ
I think I'm going to start planting outside on Sunday. The last frost date average is 5/28 locally, but... This rain will really kick us into spring. I planted some of last years leftover "summer seeds" last weekend just seeing what happens to them. The farmers are starting to plant corn so I might try that soon.
canderson
So two weeks ago we finished our major side yard tear out, landscape design project. Here's the before, during and after: We are very happy with the results. We planted 58 different variets of plants, including white creeping thyme groundcover. Butterfly bushes to yellow roses to lillies to all sorts of stuff, we can't wait until it grows up. The yellow roses are already blooming.
CNYWeather
WOW, 58 different varieties? You must have some good places to shop there. Wet wet wet wet. My yard is so wet now after almost 2" of rain this week.

Blizzard92
Place called Highland Gardens, it's amazing. That is probably one of my favorite nurserys. You should also check out Espenshades down in Lancaster. I wish Highland Gardens was a bit closer; it is a tad annoying sometimes fighting traffic while crossing the river. canderson
Yeah, that place is nice. I built HG's website recently and work closely with the GM who orders everything. She's a genius.
NeffsvilleWx
Beautiful day for yard work today. Got started on a 30' long, 2' tall retaining wall for a raised bed along the patio I built last summer. Also picked up some flowers for a bed I dug last weekend.
