mattinpa
Weak clipper for this weekend Have to hope we get something from that, because soon after looks like no more snow chances for this winter.

mattinpa
Yes , For D.C NYC gets some precip later in the clipper, but it's light on this run. Will likely change at that range.
tornadojay
Weak clipper for this weekend it's really more of a sedondary cold front that comes through. You can see the kinking of the isobars.

Much weaker then 6z. 6z actually had a decent vort go south of us and pop a low pressure system off the coast.

PB GFI
I hadn't looked at the 6Z run, but now that I do, I see what you mean.. looks much different than 12Z 12z GFS more in line with 0z Euro , pattern would dictate nothing can dig in this progressive dog @#$%^ pattern . i guess the only shot is where the Max swings thru but even then i would tend to think it weak light and weakening once east of the Mtns , just my take . CooL
whatever happens, that will be our last shot at snow because every model shows massive warmth in the longe range and bluewave already made a thread

supermeh
Euro screws Boston for the upcoming storm tomorrow and Thursday. Heaviest comes over our area and CT and second batch goes north of them.

They just cannot catch a break (assuming Euro is correct) - might be a redux here of last week's event...would rather see it overnight, but beggars can't be choosers this year. MJO812
is it colder on the Euro?? Anyway, how about the clipper for next week, does it show it too?? It is colder on the euro . Looks like it starts off as a mix or snow in the area before it switches to rain. Seeing the NMM and ARW coming in cold is a good sign.
SnoSki14
Not a dry pattern anymore, with more ridging out in the east, troughs will crash through and give us shots of heavy rain like tomorrow and then a couple days after that. If that continues then we could see some early T-storms even in March.

MJO812
I think NYC sees a lot more sleet then what people think tomorrow. I agree. MM5 is also colder than the gfs and ggem. It matches up with the ARW and NMM. Euro is not far away from a more wintry look for the area.

Saturn510
i understand that models underestimate the cold air, but in this case where is the cold air to dam?
Wxoutlooksblog
i understand that models underestimate the cold air, but in this case where is the cold air to dam? This is something I've been trying to figure out for some time now. Will there be some folks here looking for cold air to dam in two weeks?
