Juliancolton
Nice little coastal trying to spin up off the NJ coast at hour 39. Enhanced precip rates even into Thursday morning for almost everyone north of the CT border and looks like it could continue for a couple more frames. Nice. dryslot
I think the nam will really focus the 2nd wave here, It looks even more robust so far for wave 1 then 12z if you want to believe it h39 looks like it'll be a decent solution for wave 2 in NNE as well. lol, Yes

CTWeatherFreak
N CT still gets nailed. Doesnt flip to pingers until 6z Saturday after .75" has fallen. QPF is always overdone on the 18z NAM though. You mean 6z Thurs.. But after that, unlike earlier runs, note the 850 line sags back into the southern part of the state for phase 2, such as it is. weatherMA
BOX map raised for most of the area just like GYX despite the less then inspiring euro run. Nice. Can't wait to read the AFD.
Clinch Leatherwood
People need to remember although the Euro had the right idea in squashing the 1st event last time...it did so too much at the end. It was also pretty bad with event 2...the american guidance had a better handle on the extent of that snow at this stage.

SouthCoastMA
I like the look of that -10 850 line nosing SW from Maine. NAM's resolution might be winning the temp battle..lets hope.
NorEastermass128
Why? Euro had hints as does most of the guidance. Until the EURO comes to life, I'm not buying what the NAM shows. GFS needs to look better too. GGEM was nice/UKMET was nice too. So there is room for optimism. Apparently, BOX is optimistic.
weathafella
what? lol Not verbatim but hints in little maxes. Similar in some ways to the NAM. I need Mahk in Webster's help here........lol...
Snow Bow
Updated zone for mby looking pretty sweet: Wednesday...Cloudy. Snow likely in the afternoon. Snow accumulation around an inch. Highs in the mid 30s. Light and variable winds... Becoming southeast around 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of snow 70 percent. Wednesday Night...Snow. Additional snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches. Lows in the mid 20s. East winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of snow 90 percent. Thursday...Snow. Additional moderate snow accumulation. Highs in the lower 30s. Northeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent. Thursday Night...Snow. Additional light snow accumulation. Lows around 18. Light and variable winds. Chance of snow near 100 percent. Almost as good as heavy accumulation in back to back periods like it was yesterday, but this isn't too bad either.
Quincy
Ruh Roh. Not sure how much I buy into it, but several of the 15z SREF members are showing that second low off of NJ throwing back another burst of moderate/heavy precip into CT/RI Thursday morning... CT Rain
My thoughts: http://ryanhanrahan.wordpress.com/2012/02/28/another-minor-storm-with-bad-timing/ The main point: So how much snow? On average most of us will see 2″-4″ followed by some ice. Less than an inch is likely on the shoreline and areas north of Hartford may see an inch or two more. weatherMA
So basically for ORH: NAM: 10-12 GFS: 2-3 EURO: 4-6 SREF: 6-8 GGEM: 5-8 I guess 5-6" would be a good call.
