andyhb
Tell me that doesn't look a lot like the Tuscaloosa tornado of last April. Same sort of helicity values in the low levels, and you can get all kinds of vorticies around the parent circulation. Yeah looked like Cullman when it was further NE near Fairview/Arab and Tuscaloosa, also Van Vert from the Veterans Day Outbreak in 2002.
David Reimer
Now you see why I mentioned the park a couple of times before the thing hit. The tornado from last year that hit it was very brief and weak, but this one was not. I don't know who you think you're benefiting by posting information like you're keeping a historical record, but I guarantee that most folks looking at this thread already know what is going on. No need to toot your horn. In fact, it kinda makes you look like a noob.
andyhb
I think a mesolow has developed in AL, per radar analysis and sfc wind analysis. Storms are changing shape/character in AL east of I-65, not in a good way either....

kayman
I'm on the Talladega-Calhoun County line and that thing ramped up on top of my house. It started drastically increasing in lightning within 5 minutes, even the Jack Russel was startled by the sudden turn of events with this cell. It is raining horizontally outdoors, but the circulation is 8 miles south of my location.

Thrasher Fan
I think we have long-tracker on our hands here, if it didn't cycle at some point. I'm afraid so. Possibly could merge with the TOR warned cell east of Talladega.

kayman
The cell north of Montgomery, is in line to hit dadeville. Wasn't that hit hard during last years outbreak? It was. I drive through the area frequently. The southern portion of Dadeville along US Highway 280 was hard hit. It was an EF3 that had a clear path through the rugged terrain that is still very visible to this day.

kayman
The ridges in that part of Alabama are 1500 to 1800 feet above the sea level, so it would be difficult to see clearly in that storm.
