A news guy's house and family is directly in the line of this storm on channel 5. Family is in the basement with helmets on if I heard him right...says his heart is in his throat. You have to hand it to him for being very professional right now.

this is a very dangerous outbreak that is really going to humble people when all is said and done. ive never tracked severe weather before till today and its scary for those people experiencing it right now

With regards to West Liberty, KY:

Shawn Harley, from the National Weather Service, confirmed that people were trapped in damaged buildings after a large tornado struck the small town of West Liberty in eastern Kentucky. There was no immediate word on casualties as a result and Wolfe said state authorities had lost contact with the town.

Wolfe said officials believe the town "got hit pretty heavily." Beshear is expected to visit West Liberty to assess the damage Saturday.
