He thinks the NWS radar is lagging behind, but it's clear that the newstation's radar just isn't powerful enough to see through to the backside of the storm. Hoosier Posted March 2, 2012 Share Posted March 2, 2012 Some may not realize that you don't need a huge number of tornadoes to call it an outbreak. Not everything is like 4/27/11 or 4/3/74. There are small, medium, large, and really large outbreaks. We will see what the storm surveys say but I think it will be tough to not call this an outbreak of some sort.
