If you look at the the Nashville radar 20:45z it proves my point about subsidence. I stated in my post for 21z NAM "Central TN again appears under subsidence so storms would stay just under/near svr limit and limited tornado threat." In fact if you look the CAPE EHI and SigTor on the SPC page are all good in this area...YET you can watch storms start to grow and then claps. Obviously there are already strong sustained storms moving in which I covered by said they would probably have a limited tornado threat. It appears the infant updrafts are being hampered by the subsidence. You can't use the argument they were too far ahead of the surface forcing because other storms to the south of Cent. Tenn have survived and thrived.

I've got friends in Milton, KY that just got hit by a 1/4 mile wide tornado, and their Fire Station was wiped off the map. I thought this would be a non event with only 1 or 2 tornadoes? I would stop posting.

Whatever. This threat was apparently as dire as a few were saying, and you flat ripped them for saying it. Good luck back-tracking.

Did you read my post from 4 am this morning. Do be a jacka** I said there was a threat of tornadoes, never said there wasn't. I outlined the areas ask I was asked where I thought subsidence would be a factor based on -vv. This was one of the areas I noted for 21z. I also noted that I saw a risk for tornadoes across northern AL at this same time.

Looks like they might have been hit by both of those tornadic cells. Here are screen shots as both cells went through Henryville

It does, its insane out there right now. I'm trying to figure out when these outbreaks will give populated areas a little break, but no dice today. Only 4 PM too.......just getting started down in Tenn, Miss, Ala, and GA.
