BowMeHunter
mosty snow now but its going to have to pick up the intensity a lot to start sticking. just talked to wife leaving work down by Marquette and said a rain/sleet and a little snow mix and nothing close to sticking that she can tell. A-L-E-K
Strange, it's still sleeting as far as I can tell. profiles are razor thin so it will flip back and forth over short distances under heavier returns until the column cools more.
Geos
It has been sleeting on and off here. Cooling off with the offshore winds now. 35°

turtlehurricane
turtle u thinking were gonna be done in an hour or so? I thought it was gonna come to a quick end, but the main axis of the band has kinda stalled out just west of Madison since the whole system is pivoting. Maybe the heavy stuff will last to 5 pm if we're lucky.
SchaumburgStormer
Thundersnow here in dekalb. Edit: Nice long rumble of thunder. Was not a muffled sound, so the heavier returns must be headed our way.

michsnowfreak
All settled in in Grayling, at a lodge/motel near the woods. Lots of old snowpack here (LOL gonna venture out in a bit to do depth...probably at least a foot). Official NWS forecast is 10-13" tonight and 2-3" lake effect tomorrow. Snowing right now. On the drive up between Saginaw and West Branch it wet from a few old drifts/patches to all out deep snowcover in like 20 miles. Woman at the hotel said half the snow came in the storm just the other day, its already the deepest snow theyve had in 2 years (lol that means it never got as deep here as Detroit last winter). Shortly after I posted it was still sleeting, it clearly became all snow, and is now accumulating a bit. Still don't think we will get to our projected total of 5-8"; hope I'm wrong and this deformation zone stalls out.
