Once it gets close to Bolivar, it will be in a more densely populated area briefly. If memory serves rigght, Bolivar is 10-20k population, and a small 2k(?) university also.

Boliver getting nickel sized hail.. fairgrounds to west getting golfball sized hail.

circulation south towards morrisville, but nothing confirmed yet.

SOUTHERN DALLAS COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...

WESTERN LACLEDE COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 1245 AM CST.

* AT 1152 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A

TORNADO 4 MILES NORTH OF BRIGHTON...OR 7 MILES SOUTH OF BOLIVAR...

MOVING EAST AT 65 MPH. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING

TORNADOES.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE BENNETT SPRINGS...BRIGHTON...BUFFALO...

CHARITY...CONWAY...ELKLAND...FOOSE...HALF WAY...LEBANON...LONG

LANE...MARCH...MORGAN...OLIVE...PHILLIPSBURG...PLEASANT HOPE...

RADER AND WINDYVILLE.

OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BENNETT SPRING STATE PARK.

INTERSTATE 44 BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 106 AND 132 WILL ALSO BE IMPACTED

BY THIS TORNADO.

IN ADDITION TO A TORNADO...THIS STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING

DESTRUCTIVE STRAIGHT LINE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH.

POWER HAS BEEN REPORTED OUT IN THE TOWN OF MORRISVILLE AT 1155PM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

HEAVY RAINFALL MAY OBSCURE THIS TORNADO. TAKE COVER NOW. IF YOU WAIT

It's where the circulation was and where the barn was destroyed. Maybe there wasn't one and it just looked suspect.

And its possible a weak tornado may have happened there. But there weren't large amounts of debris being picked up...enough to be detected by radar...the reflectivity was just a coincidence (which this another great reason to have dp...otherwise we could assume that)

I just saw the LSR and realized that isn't where the barn was destroyed and that isn't the spot where everyone was hunting for a debris ball. My bad. It was still a circulation, but no idea if it produced.

Operation Storm Shelter was a success.

Local media reporting in SE Kansas.

Labette County Emergency Manager confirms 3 trailer homes were blown over resulting in 1 person seriously injured and 3 people with minor injuries. Also, reports of damage to residences between 15,000 Road and 18,000 Road. Fire departments are currently doing a grid search of the county to determine if anyone else is injured or trapped

With the surface outflow settling south near Mt. Vernon, and that large storm cluster to the west we may see something tighten up somewhere near or just east of the KHFJ area over the next hour or so. Something to watch anyway.

I would appreciate it if they just stayed like they are right now, blow through, and not tighten up. ;)
