I can't post photos from the phone on this board for some reason but did put them on the other thing. It's more than 3", will measure when it finishes. It's nice will make my ski day a good one Saturday.

A week ago it was 60 and rain forecast. In the end it was a nice snow thump in ski country.

Getting close to an inch now, bout 3/4 or so. Nothing like those huge flakes earlier, if it had stayed snowing like that id of had 4 inches by now. Down to freezing now too so that'll help accumulation with light snowfall rates

Moderate snow...1/2SM. 2.7" new snow. Should get about an hour more of good rates.

I wonder if Ek and Dryslot can make 5". Might be close since they are on the line, but dryslot has the latitude and longtitude I think. Dryslot probably will. I don't know how much Mike had.

Thinking maybe another .5 to 1" here. Nice event probably nicer up higher where it's likely less wet. Pines and similar doing the big bend but far from harm. Eight hours ago there was really no snow here. Nice to see it now.

Soundings continue to argue for thunder across downeast and eastern Maine, away from the coast. Just so impressive.

Just pushed out a 03 SmartCast forecast for the Maine area. Showing high threat of significant accumulations of snow across the Caribou and Houlton areas, with snowfall of over 12-17" across these areas through 14Z. Heaviest snowfall will be form 07Z to 11Z, with rates of up to 2" per hour possible. Other areas around Bangor and Augusta looking at 9-10" through the next 12 hours. It should come down good for the next 2 maybe 3hrs or so.

Yeah, as the secondary passes by and the cold air drains in it should change many areas back over to snow.

Man I'd kill for a 3 hr paste bomb with little wind. That kind of snow that sticks to everything without getting blown around. This winter is abysmal.

If we can stay close to 1"/hr we could get to 5" or so

Wxwatcher, gun to head 4.3". I cannot get away from the roof lee entirely without getting dressed. It's possible it's as much as 5" but I don't think much more than that. If I were officially reporting it'd be 4.3. Still accumulating. Will measure more in am.

Snow stopped, a little fzdz now but some stars are visible. Radar looks to be non accumulating showery type for the rest of this event I would imagine. Final was 1.2 not quite enough to call one and a quarter
