Tropopause_Fold
I can't help but look at everything and find things that can go wrong..lol. The anti winter '10-'11. there's definitely a handful.
dryslot
Looking at the Nam fwiw, It is further NE with the vort out west @hr 45 then @ 51 on the 06z, 4mb stronger as well
Tropopause_Fold
you can really see the low level feed of dry/cold air on the euro at 850 nicely. it takes almost 24 hours for the air to saturate between about PSM and PWM. it just keeps feeding in and really blocks that initial wall from barreling into ME. dryslot
gonna be a hit? Wave 1 looks like it may be stronger this run
CoastalWx
Wave 1 seems to be a bit more juicy. You can see the difference with the ULL in the Midwest. It's sharper and has more of a negative tilt look with pumps up the ridge ahead if it. Also, less confluence to the northeast.

CoastalWx
Unfortunately, with the ULL also a little more north and amped up, the mix line is sent pretty far north right into I-90 area or so.

I still like the looks of it overall. Even if it has a "warmer" look to it. Good front end frozen.

dryslot
Yeah wave 2 looks good north of the MA border on the NAM. ULL too far north for us here. You could see that when it was out west it started out further north so the end result was north as well once it got here but its the Nam fwiw

CoastalWx
It's the NAM which isn't much, but it shows you how complex everything is. It would be nice just to have a consolidated shield of snow. I don't quite by the NAM depiction of 2-3 separate snow deals if you will, but it shows you how it can happen. Clinch Leatherwood
May save me a trip to Burke next weekend if the NAM is close to right...Loon gets clobbered...Waterville/Sunapee etc. Problem is with the NAM the snow window exists from Tremblant to resorts in Virgina.
