toronto blizzard
Euro is really suppressed and strung out with part 1. Maybe 1-2" at most. Did it change for my area as well?
weatherMA
Euro is really suppressed and strung out with part 1. Maybe 1-2" at most. GFS is completely out to lunch I think. The trend has been to suppress this and weaken it. I kind of wish the gfs was more right though, just a little cooler.

ORH_wxman
The pseudo-Rex blocking on the Euro is stronger this run and it holds back the energy much more...this keeps the front end more strung out and suppressed....but it might increase potential with part 2. dendrite
That ULL tracks further N this run too so part 2 shifts a bit northward. Crappy run.

snowNH
Looks like we can start forecasting some amounts today. As of now you'd have to go with a widespread 8-12 combined from both systems and if we have to up that as we get closer we will Fail. Fail. Fail. Haven't you learned anything this winter? This is winter 2011-2012. One question. Will you have to snow blow 1-2" with that march sun angle? Here's my forecast... Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 71. Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 50. Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 66. Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. Saturday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
moneypitmike
That was the nightmare. This is how this storm will fail for all of us. 2-4" from two days of light snow showers Euro looks like crap Euro south, strung out and blahhhh LOL--I am having shades of this last "event". My 4:00p.m. zfp was calling for 4-8" and my p/c had 4-6. I wound up with 4 flakes until the tail end of the storm Friday night.

HIPPYVALLEY
Thanks jynx ... I'm not even concerned about snow totals right now.. I'm more convened about weather (nyuk nyuk) my flight to Myrtle beach will leave on time or not. 530 am flight out of Logan, Thursday morning. I don't want any damn snow to ruin it. Seriously though.. how much snow would it take to cancel flights? I'm not that famaliar with Logan. You need sustained periods of SN+ for Logan to close. They almost always manage to keep a runway or two open unless it's whiteout conditions.

Not really a record I'm interested in but historical none the less if it happens.
moneypitmike
I was thinking that. Maybe part 1 sucks in favor of part 2? I hate that game. They so frequently seem to dwindle into a pathetic consolation prize. I'm glad my saw's getting an early tune-up.
