Hey, nice to talk to you again! Yeah, will be interesting to see what happens in BUF and just north as the band should stabilize there until the little shortwave rotates through later today. It's certainly coming down heavier off the east end of the lake then it was in the Cleveland metro Friday morning, which is fairly typical.

i actually think it may shift south a bit tomorrow morning between 8am and Noon before it makes a push back north (prob up into southern Niagara County) before sweeping back south tomorrow evening. That final push tomorrow evening is what Im hoping will push me close to 10" for the event. Snow is lightening up as we speak btw.

I agree with the shift back south tomorrow evening as the winds go more westerly...will be interesting to see if it can maintain some decent intensity through Saturday night. Shear and some dry air will begin to move in at that time.

Great Forecast OH! You've been spot on for all these LES events to the tee! ^_^

Received 5.5-6 inches in 3 hours last night here but the real show was north of here. A foot of snow by my parents house so far. Here is a few pictures my dad took. Here is latest spotter reports as well.

Got home and measured only 3-4 inches of dust like snow. Not a great event imby. From 422 north to 322 was the snow hole. Looked like only inch or two around chagrin and 271.

Looking forward to a few snowy days ahead to put the cap on this winter.

Wow, surprised that you only got that much but the best of that band did set up just to your north yesterday. Went out to bainbridge/auburn twp yesterday and they only had 4-5". thought they would have had more too, but probably compacted a bit before I got there

Woke up to huge flakes coming down. Close to an inch already. Snow extends a long way west so 3 inches seems doable.

Have about 1.5" so far here. Looks like you are getting hit pretty good up there. I agree, 3" is a good possibility.

Snowing really good here, saw Cle upped the totals to 2-4 for today.

Any thoughts on tomorrow?  Cle mentioned in the disco that they may need an advisory or warning for another short LE event?

Snowing pretty good here. Up to 2.5" so far.

For tommorow/tommorow night, I could see some sort of an advisory being needed in the primary belt. Should see some lake enhancement try to kick up in the morning/ early afternoon. Don't think that would be all that significant. Heading into the afternoon things should become more favorable for lake effect, but question is will the flow be to southerly and push the banding into SW NY and NW PA. Northern Primary may get in on some action, but the best chance would be tommorow night as flow turns to WNW-W for about a 9-12 hour period. Instability will be there and so will low level moisture at the start, but it will begin to dry out not long after. It does look like there could be a nice area of convergence in the primary belt for a 6-9 hr window.

Overall I could see 1-3"/2-4"of lake enhancement/effect tommorow during the day with a better chance tommorow night. Tommorow night I could see maybe 3-6"+ in the primary belt depending if we can get a decent band to form with the convergence that looks like it could be in place. Haven't had much time to look things over though, will try to maybe put a map together later tonight if I have time.

Glad it worked out up there!

Up to 3"... maybe a little over. Surprised no advisories out from CLE. Roads are a mess. Flake size dropped off dramatically but still snowing hard.

That's a nice band of snow that has set up shop over you guys. Rates probably running close to an inch an hour under it especially on the south/west side.

It has basically been close in to inch an hour since it started. Just went out to measure... 3.5" exactly.

Yea this could have been advisory worthy. Currently about an inch an hour here too. Need to go measure again but looks like over 3" out there

Lol Cle just issued a winter weather advisory for 3-6 inches.

Some areas are going to end up with almost 8"...they are a little slow.

Are we getting lake enhancement?  There is a band sitting over downtown out to lorain that has to be putting down some serious amounts.

The thought occurred to me...I'm not sure though because the winds at all levels have a bit of a southerly component to them. Either way, the band of moderate snow pivoted right over Cleveland and the snow was very efficient allowing for it to pile up quickly.

Haha ya, a little late.  That's what I was referring to.   These over-achievers are always nice!

Just under 6" since this morning. Snow is still falling. Snow may actually pick back up again as the "front" to the north is creating convergence over the lake.

CLE dropped the ball with this one. Issuing an advisory after 3pm in laughable.

Not sure what to expect tomorrow from the les... I'd imagine ice is extensive, or will be after tonight.

Yeah, congrats to you guys up there on the good bust. I'm surprised at how much fell but it was apparent by 11am at the latest that it was snowing at close to an inch per hour under that nice little band that set up and that the band wasn't in any hurry to move...THAT would have been a good time for an advisory.

I'm sure Ashtabula County will see several inches tomorrow afternoon into tomorrow night...not sure how far southwest the snow will get thanks to the western basin probably having a lot more ice than it did just 48 hours ago.

Anything that falls tomorrow will be a bonus. Great overperformer today. Snow has picked up again... Nice returns over the lake pushing south.

CLe reported 4.6" for the day... And a snow depth of 1". Needless to say they have a few problems with snowfall reporting.

I was outside cleaning the driveway so I didn't know CLE issued and advisory. Man that is pathetic. Issue an advisory when the event is 2 hours from being over lol.

Just checked the ice coverage. Not all that much has formed since it got colder so that is good. But some will probably form tonight. Lake effect tommorow into tommrow night will probably be a more northern primary event. Sunday night is the best chance for areas south to get involved but things surely don't look as favorable as last time. Probably be a chardon north and east type of event with maybe an inch or two elsewhere.

CLE just amazes me sometimes. Late morning would have been a good "bust" time to issue the advisory and cut your losses. Instead they wait until its almost over to issue.

Looks like a really nice area of convergence could set up over asht. for a time, but other than there probably won't be too significant for the rest of the primary belt. Although lake, and extreme northern geagua will get into some snow at some point. Anything noteworthy should be north of 322 and maybe even rt. 6.

Yea things have flared up quite nicely. Shortwave trough over the lake is helping to ramp things up again. It would be nice to add another inch or two overnight.

CLE's errors continue to add up.

The lake effect could again drift into Cuyahoga County tomorrow evening for a time before the better moisture pushes east...flow will be WNW but amount of ice cover has probably increased some over the western basin.

If anything I think the best chance would be tommorow night. Flow tommorow evening should be more beneficial for the northern primary. I'm not even sure tommorow night the banding makes it all the way to cuyohoga county. Maybe NE cuyohoga, but may just stay mainly in the northern primary.
