magoos0728
MKE television mets suffer epic fail after epic fail. Understand this was all over the place system, but Goddard(sp?) is consistently the worst met on T.V. Every time I look to the boards or to MKE/Sullivan NWS for storm info--the WHOLE GROUP of TV mets in metro MKE call for nothing. Its amazing really...sometimes frustrating. weatherpsycho
The NW trend has come back at least for one storm. I wonder if the north trend is due to the lack of snow cover and lack of cold to the south. It was in the 50s in much of IL/IN/OH on the 22nd. Just yesterday the model for some reason were initializing SE MI with 10-20" of snow on the ground (speaking about the Feb 23rd 0Z, 6Z and 12Z model runs). Just food for thought... SpartyOn
Nice returns out west. Within the next hour or so we should start seeing the deformation zone punch into semi. Many locales seeing a 2-4 inches allready fallen. This should put the storm totals around 4-7 inches. Not far off from what guidance has shown. TugHillMatt
Rain wtf. Biggest bust ever. 4-6" HAHA....we'll be lucky to get a trace of snow. I live far away from the Lake yet somehow I still saw rain. I'm amazed. F*ck this Winter or any other Winter, I give up. Same crap since 09-10. Good luck everyone! Move to Muskoka!!! I lived and worked at a camp there for two winters...talk about snow! I would move back there in a heartbeat if I was Canadian and could find a decent, affordable home. TugHillMatt
A little shocked...but about 7 inches at my house in Spring Lake, MI and still dumping snow. It would be awesome if we could get to a foot...I know that's REALLY pushing it.
wisconsinwx
No way to deny, this one was an overperformer in every sense of the word. 6" reported downtown, higher totals NW of there, endless moderate snow at times, along with decent wind for a storm that went through Evansville, how did we manage our best storm of the winter out of this? snowstormcanuck
BUST for Toronto. Complete bust. lol!! Toronto is honestly not a winter city. And for people who think Toronto used to be a snowy city, check the stats. A major snowfall for Toronto is 4-6" which would be a dusting in any other part of Canada east of the Rockies. 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 were aberations. Usually I'd try to inject some sanity here, but on a morning like this, it's hard to argue with the above.

weatherpsycho
10 - 12" in the north central part of lower Michigan. I don't think it underperformed it just went north. Agreed it is not really an over/under performer storm as it just did go north. This is a bust/failure storm for those who were expected to get it or those who got it an were not expecting it. hm8
Snow cover is actually les then it was at 4:00 AM this morning, which makes me think that band that moved through AA around 7 was likely not all snow (I was sleeping) I'll check OBS in a bit... hm8
There was Rain reported around DTW at that time. Its possible you had rain and we also had patchy drizzle earlier Yeah, I can't seem to find any reports of rain around here at the time but there certainly seem to be a lot more grass showing. Then again it was dark when I last checked and the grass is all brown and muddy anyway so maybe I just didn't see it. Back to light/mod snow now. Probably end up with 3-4" (and no thunder ) here
