on_wx
Environment Canada updated the warning at 10:22 pm...snowfall warning continues for toronto. "Snow is on the way" they say. I wonder why Grey County, Bruce County, and northern Simcoe County are not in any special weather statement or warning. Grey County is only 29 miles north of here and I'm in the middle of the snowfall warning.

snowstormcanuck
I'm hoping Environment Canada scores a coup here. I well remember March 2001 when what looked like a non event the night before turned into 20cm for Toronto. I also remember December 9, 2008 when Ottawa ended up with 32cm when the night before they had been calling for it to turn to rain with the temperature forecast up to 45F! Different era for Toronto. We'll get a nice stretch like that in the future though. We're due.

AppsRunner
Still hasn't changed to snow here, but at least it wasn't a busted forecast. Always next winter for those south of I-80.
snowstormcanuck
This storm sort of reminds me a storm early in January 2005. Looked like a solid moderate event right up until the last 18 hours. Actual outcome: 1-2" of snow, some sleet, and a slot. I think we had warnings out for that too. indeedinger
6" here. Really snowed hard between 7:30 and 9:00pm - still coming down but much lighter. Probably had more than that - appears to have been some melting already as we've been hovering between 32-33 degrees. Wet enough to take my ornamental grasses down to the ground, but still a very pretty snow.
