NorEastermass128
No snow south of NH 50s for everyone If it snows 5" in Tolland... ...we all use reverse psychology for the rest of the season. Heck...maybe me and coastalwx can get a few inches, while Ray is too far north? That'd make everybody happy.
CoastalWx
Basically the lift and associated LLJ develop and move east, but weaken as it moves away to the south of SNE.

mattb65
nam still has a solid omega thump..moves more e than n but overall...still a good look (all things considered). it's also probably frozen right to the coast. There's a sneaky warm layer around 800 mb - might cause some pinging problems for some on the edge if the NAM is right... Verbatim it keeps things snow but it's really close to pingers, and flips over to pings just as the precip is moving out.
ineedsnow
I wonder if box updates and places most of northern ct in a advisory or if they will wait awhile
CoastalWx
If Ekster lived in Attleboro, he'd probably have another sappling snapper with 2" of 7:1 ratio snow.
HoarfrostHubb
Thin batch of moisture extends almost back into Nebraska on radar. Also pulling in some from the southern region

CoastalWx
Well maybe if this keeps going south, people like Dendrite will reap the benefits of the secondary tomorrow night.

The secondary was all snow here on 18z...00z is PL to SN. I'm still trying to figure out what happened today...lol.I'm due for a climo payback though. ORH_wxman
That is a hellacious band that develops over N PA and the southern tier of NY...we'll have to watch how much it weakens before hitting SNE...its tough to actually intensify it so much there and then all of the sudden weaken it enough to have lower impact over that short distance. I'm due for a climo payback though. I noticed after the 18z GFS and then the HRRR runs after, that it started hinting at maybe this being a little more south. That's when we commented on the BTV WRF. It's probably going to come down to a nowcast deal, but seems like that's the trend.

ORH_wxman
I think my final forecast for here will be 2-4"...though I may leave it at 1-3" if GFS looks really ugly or something like that.
weatherMA
Interesting. I never thought there would be a chance I could miss this to the south lol. I feel good about 2-3" here but not great. Being the weenie I am, I will probably get like 4 hours of sleep tonight because of this storm lol.

Baroclinic Zone
I wonder if the southerly trend of this 1st batch is being driven by the low bombing out over Nova Scotia. Develops just enough confluence to pinch this S.
