LWX is picking up some small hail on dual-pol around 6 kft. More likely than not it will melt to big rain drops before hitting the surface. HAHAHA!! Confirmed! I guess the april 27 effect will live with us a while.. but even with a mod risk this never screamed giant event, but some of the online talking heads acted that way. Nice pic though bro Heat Fail, Severe Fail, Forest fire fail, Mid-Atlantic Fail. Outside of So. Md and nearby, this has been a complete failure. Temp never got above 47 all afternoon, but has just spiked to 53 with the onset of the winds. Some high winds, blinding core rains, and got the rust out of the way for getting the season underway. Even treated to a nice view headed back (we crossed to the backside for a rainfree drive home via i-85). Didn't even really get much video and zero pics (aside from some iPhone stuff). About 45 minutes ago, I could hear wind shreaking through the surrounding forest. A few minutes ago I opened the front door to sustained 25 to 35 mph sustained winds and a scared kitty.
