What a completed dud for my area. Winds were actually no stronger in the showers than they were most of the rest of the day. Just being a imby weenie, though. :weenie: The entire moderate risk area of NC may escape without a severe wind gust.

How is it possible for the severe threat to be missed so badly?

Edit: Just saw the few down east that were from earlier in the day. None with the main line yet, it looks like.

SPC ate a moderate risk today, no offense as the 45% svr wind probs were warranted, pre along the coastal plain of sc/nc ruined any realization of srh, another case of a loaded gun without the firing mechanism. Kinda ok with this one, lose of life and damage hits very close to home at times, as we saw last year in the NC outbreak. A little scarred this was another one, and based on verification, moderate hatch a bust, imby, center of hatch, all good!

.15" rain total today, nothing significant when the band with the cold front came through. Probably had some gusts here around 40mph earlier in the day, not associated with any showers.

Pretty much what I saw, best wind was between 1 & 3 25-30 g40+, have not checked the rn gauge, but imagine it is around 0.5"

Storm total.

The storms yesterday afternoon really reminded me of April 16(?) last year. Was really windy all day and when the storms actually got here it poured very heavily with NO WIND... then when the storm passes by the wind picks back up a few minutes later.

0.65" storm total, 0.55" in 2 minutes. max rainrate of 12.34" on the VP2.
