Logan11
He should live in KALB... SINCE JUL 1 14.2 normal 44.0 departure -29.8 last year 63.8 Between tomorrow and what can fall before midnight next Wednesday night - I'm liking my chances for 5" inches at Ray's and winning the bet. Poor Kevin. He hasn't had a good winter.
dendrite
6z NAM/GFS have a nice midday thump here before flirting with IP near the end. The SREF snow probs are really high here for 4"+. Hopefully we pull off 3-5".
CoastalWx
Still not the best lookinh across a decent part of SNE. Looks like a quick couple of inches across the interior, esp north of the Pike. Euro is still not that robust with QPF.

CoastalWx
How's it look for northern ct? At work but in a truck. Maybe an inch or so...possible 2 in ext NW CT. I don't like how the euro has crappy QPF.
CoastalWx
What are your thoughts for GC at this time? TIA Certainly looks like you could get 2-3". Everything is kind of marginal with warmer air aloft moving in. I honestly think lift will be the biggest factor. If it can come in like a wall of snow..then it gives credence to 2-4 or 3-5" for you. If it's weaker like the euro..it may be 1-3". This looks like a higher elevation north of I-90 deal in general, but extreme nrn and nw CT could eek out an inch or so. powderfreak
Still holding serve up here. AS THE SECONDARY LOW TAKES OVER IN THE CANADIAN MARITIMES FRIDAY NIGHT... SURFACE WINDS WILL BECOME NORTHWEST AND BRING COLDER AIR INTO THE REGION. THIS WILL LEAD TO IDEAL CONDITIONS FOR UPSLOPE SNOWS ACROSS THE ADIRONDACKS AND THE WESTERN SLOPES OF THE GREEN MOUNTAINS FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL THAT THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE ADIRONDACKS AND GREEN MOUNTAINS COULD SEE AROUND A FOOT OF SNOW BY EARLY SATURDAY EVENING. SINCE THIS WILL OCCUR DURING THE 4TH AND 5TH PERIODS OF THE FORECAST...HAVE NOT PUT UP ANY WINTER STORM WATCHES AT THIS TIME. LATER SHIFTS WILL NEED TO MONITOR THIS POTENTIAL CLOSELY. MaineJayhawk
Looks like generally .5" QPF in this area, so I'll keep my 3-5" guesstimate. Here's BOX's thinking for the SNE peeps.

Damage In Tolland
Euro is one of the coldest at the surface. When you look at it though..it just doesn;t look like it should be that cold. It's been a rough winter for you,, me and everyone forecasting wise. Either way..I;m not seeing a flake down here

There is nothing abnormal about upper 30s for you with a low to your se. I could see you bounce up a bit Friday night after the front goes through, but not to 50 or anything. And also, I don't think BOS will see much of anything to be honest. At least right now.

That adds up to at least 5-8. In the forecast discussion they said that amounts of 4-8 were expected in the mountains but didn't feel it warranted a watch based on the small size of area affected.
