Clinch Leatherwood
That was it's highlight reel this season Whatever has happened to Ekster? NAM does okay in cross land events. Doubtful it's dead nuts on at this point and I'm sure there's still going to be a decent model spread but it's not likely to be as bad as coastal events. ChrisM
My gut says the gfs looks good but about 75 MI n and w of nam. Still good for snh and s/c vt though
HoarfrostHubb
you mean last season? Lol. I misread the date. I thought it was the event in Jan that gave me 4" Heck, last years was better
HIPPYVALLEY
Yeah, And where is MPM? Ha, ha, I'm assuming that like myself with the meh' winter he has reluctantly struck a compromise between Am Wx posting and attentiveness to family. lol
mattb65
I hope the gfs isn't going to be a slap in the face after this, probably the most board excitement in a while I don't really see anyone legitimately excited, it's just one weenie run of the NAM, and we know how much of a flop it can be/often is. Look at the tease it put on the MA in that last storm - It was showing decent snows for DC/Baltimore all the way until within 24 hrs. Heck it was still getting precip to Long Island at that point. Having said that, it was encouraging to see the 12z euro weenie maps print out a bit of front end snow even down to the CP so here's hoping that holds/improves slightly later tonight. I thought it was the event in Jan that gave me 4" Heck, last years was better The Jan 12 event this season was a huge choke job by the NAM/SREFs...they were showing almost no snow here and the Euro was much colder....Euro schooled them in that event. Clinch Leatherwood
RGEM nowhere near as cold IMO, but still very good for many...particularly where I'll be skiing.
ORH_wxman
RGEM nowhere near as cold IMO, but still very good for many...particularly where I'll be skiing. Yeah the NAM was just frigid...but RGEM is still colder than 12z consensus for sure...its just flipping to sleet along the pike at 12z...so with 0.25-0.40 falling before that, it suggests a few inches of snow for a good chunk of MA. It's hard to tell with those maps but like you said typically that's a cold solution for most of you guys. I think that's good news, RGEM has been pretty good as of late. NAM will likely be on the coldest side, hoping that the RGEM is near the warmer side but we know it won't be that easy. GFS or Euro will rain it up to PF just to piss us off. ORH_wxman
GFS is definitely trending deeper with the 5h heights to the north of Maine which is helping to open up the shortwave in the lakes...this should be a colder run than 18z.

ORH_wxman
Hey Will, how do you interpret that run for hfd north? Couple inches of slop? Probably like 1-2" for N CT and 3-5 (maybe spot 6 in GC?) for MA with the higher amounts northern sections.
