ORH_wxman
Futility buster per nam? Maybe even for Ray too. That would be perfect...give Ray 5.5" of snow to bust his futility chase. I think he'd take a toaster bath.
HoarfrostHubb
Didn't we know this is how it'd work out? It wouldn't be a D7 bomb that we tracked for days. It'd be something like this that's crept closer and closer for two days. As it should be, with Kev declaring this one a rainer for all of MA/CT/RI Still time for it to go into the shytter

ORH_wxman
Whether we get a few flakes or happen to stumble into a half decent snow event...at least with the pattern flipping to more Nina-like...we are actually getting some Nina-like events to track. CoastalWx
We gotta get that low to the northeast nice and strong. That's gonna help keep confluence a bit.

Amped
Closed H7 track over lake Ontario and then transfers east to North of Bangor. GFS kept it intact until Montreal. Impressive if you guys pull this off.
wxmanmitch
Interesting turn of events on the 00Z NAM. Not sure it will verify that cold, but verbatim that is a solid snow event for the Berks with some getting 6"+ by noon on Friday. It ends as a bit of sleet to solidify the snow. This is rather reminiscent of the 1/12/12 event in that it kept trending colder at the last minute and many locations along and N of the Pike overachieved. I even ended that event as a some flurries after oscillating between snow and sleet during the meat of it. This event looks a bit juicier than that one, so it may be a nice 6 hour thump for someone. Impressive if you guys pull this off. Impressive as in doubtful or impressive as in wow. The former would get MRG 2 days, the latter would get him 2 days. EDIT: I forgot we're not in storm mode as only 6 States may get snow from this. But I agree, not buying the NAM until we see suite support.
