My guess is whatever makes for the most unwanted annoying solution will prevail in reality. It's called the nosuckyforblueballs factor; I'm pretty sure it's covered in Dynamics II for most senior course work -

LOL just looked at the ECMWF maps on Wunderground... that's a huge upslope event for the northern Greens, northern Whites, up towards Rangley/SkierinVermont area.

It might be worth some rain on the front end looking at some of those progs. And if it heads a bit east like the UKMET... lookout.
