It was inevitable in a Nina winter. I-90 looks to get smoked.

Was it inevitable for Southern Virginia to receive 5"-10" last week also?

We've just had bad luck this winter.

Good for SNE though for cashing in on this terrible pattern.

A two-three inch snowstorm in NYC and its immediate environs is like saying a 7-5 bowl bound college football team had a great year.

But come on it was in late October, a historic storm that hasn't occurred in some 150 years or so, and that storm was crippling for a lot of people because of the tree and powerline damage.

Some places saw worse damage than with Irene easily.

Definitely a bad pattern for most of the East this Winter when you want snow.

Wise, Virginia had 8 inches last week, but their 30 yr avg is 52.2 and they are only at 30 for the season.

Burkes Garden, Va avgs 52.6 they are only at 20.2 for the season.

Even saying the snow barely accumulated in October is a historic feat, sorry you didn't get your 6-10" and your lucky you didn't because the damage would have been incredible.

I agree I'm not taking away its historic, just saying it wasn't all that, it wasn't expected to be anything crazy around 5boros and long island. The fact it was october was the only fun part

So what are you complaining about? I mean, how often do you see snow in the city in October, let alone snow on the roads?

Not complaining just saying it was more interesting north and west but like you said it was October and with the way this winter is it was an awesome event looking back on it.

But just think how difficult it has been for us to get snow this winter in Dec-Feb. To get snow that accumulates even a little in October is truly amazing and a bad omen as well by the way.

I'm never rooting for an early snowfall again. I'll wait till mid December if I have to for even a flake.
