BIG FROSTY
Believe the best returns are barely going to miss me, looks like eastern surry and stokes going to catch them? I'm in south central surry.
wthrmn
Will that band reach the RDU area?
tazaroo
I would love to see that precip around mt airy come this way but I think it will start going more East rather than SE as the Low moves further North off the Coast. Of course some of you near the Border and Northern Triad have a better chance or are seeing it already. Of course I'm hoping for more. Had close to an inch earlier but some ground melt has since occurred and down to 1/2 to 3/4 or so.
SBUWX23
its something to keep an eye on. The disturbance will cross the state, but with the coastal offshore, there may be a trend to decrease precip over time. This is a pretty potent disturbance so its worth watching. Will that band reach the RDU area?

weatherheels
Flakes are starting to fly again... What a bonus this is. Was about to hit the sack, checked radar, looked out the window and flurries have started back up... Wonder if those heavier returns are gonna make it this far south? Logan11
Yeah nice snow hangs on here just northwest in Hillsville, VA ...borderline moderate fluffy dry snow. 6" measured an hour ago. At the risk of crapping up the thread with a radar play by play, that band over Mt. Airy just exploded.

It's hard to see on the regular NWS radar but if you pull up the Charlotte TDWR long range the movement looks very promising.
kvegas-wx
Two quick observations. One, its snowing again in kville....at a good clip too. Two, all the snow on the roads from earlier has melted. Black ice will be a huge issue tomorrow.

downeastnc
Be nice if that "band" to my NW would work on in so I could see it do more than mix in a bit of sleet and snow.....I guess a dusting is to much to ask for this winter...
superjames1992
That last band didn't really turn out too well here. We got about 15 minutes of light snow, but that's it. Looks like we are done now.
