metwannabe
And considering that plume over the northern half of SC it looks good. Sounds like the slp is starting to deepen and might end up in a good spot to keep precip rates going in ENC especially northestern piedmont and northern coastal plain
superjames1992
Judging by the radar, there is a spoke of energy just clearing the mtns. right now, and another back in central TN- I am not sure if this will re-ignite the precip over central and eastern NC That slug back in KY should do it for us if we are patient (which I am certainly not, ha). ECW
Pretty steady moderate snowfall here for the last 30-45 minutes. Sidewalks and road is completely covered. I'm just thankful that we actually got to see some real winter weather here this winter considering the pattern.

dntjr
That would be really cool- we are finally at freezing, so anything else that falls may actually have a chance of sticking

SBUWX23
Anyone every look at the TWDR out of CLT. It scans more in the lower levels and also has a long range view... Looks like the snow is in fact making it over the mountains.

weatherheels
Over the last 45 minutes we've had Mod-Hvy snow... everything got covered up extremely quick. Seems to be tapering now, fun while it lasted.
Jalba
Well I can confirm that snow has been light yet steady now since ~6pm or so. Only about half an inch or less but its still coming down. If you loop the charlotte area it appears its redeveloping over my county. Not bad, at least pretty to see.
NavarreDon
Congrats to all who are enjoying snow! As with all of the other obs from the central mnts....no go here. Temp is 39.3° with light drizzle. Just wasn't our storm. Not enough cad & moisture for us I guess.

Snow Queen
Ok so right after my last post where I said I haven't had anything in awhile, I suddenly got a down pour of heavy sleet w/ huge flakes mixed in. It's really coming down at the moment..I just hope it lasts longer than 5 minutes.

burgertime
Well just checked outside and it's VERY light snow if it was any lighter it would be drizzle. Beggers can't be choosy.
WeatherNC
Quick recap of the event so far... Storm cancel, heading north, oh wait, coming back south, won't matter ground is warm, not likely to stick, 2-3" accums causing traffic accidents, apps shredded it UL support sucks, Chapel Hill got slotted, wait, what is that going on west of CLT, unsure, IP south of the city, WV not looking so hot, jet core still intact and inbound... Case in point, these events never play out exactly as planned/expected, always a few curve balls along the way, some hit, some missed.
packfan98
got 1/2 in about 30 minutes. Looks like about 10 more minutes before this heavy band passes me. Latest RUC looks to have the Deformation band a little further south of where it had it earlier. Looks like there's still a chance at a little more for I-40 corridor in the coming hour. SBUWX23
I would keep an eye out in Wake county as the heavy echoes move overhead. Id suspect this is wet snow and some of it will be reaching the ground. Denton, NC jsut came in with a LSR for .5 inches on the ground which just came out of that batch.
