I'm stealing this from a topic in the DC forum that was started a while back.

I'll list mine from my time in Philadelphia.

February 16th-18th, 2003 (PD 2, 21" at my place in North Coventry)

January 2005 (10")

February 2006 (16")

December 19th, 2009 (10")

February 5th-6th, 2010 (16.7")

February 10th, 2010 (22")

January 25th-26th, 2011 (16")

In Minneapolis...I remembered the holiday storms pretty well but didn't remember some of the odd/end storms in March and April until I looked them up (except for the dendrite event in '99...that was MSP's best overperformer since nobody had that pegged for 16")

November 18th-19th, 1981 (11")

January 1982 (two storms, three days apart, about 38" total)

November 27-28th '82 (16.4")

April 14th, '83 (13.6")

Thanksgiving Storm of '83 (11")

March 4th-5th, 1984 (10")

March 3rd-4th, 1985 (16.7")

March 31st, 1985 (14.7")

Thanksgiving Blizzard of '85 (21")

March 2nd-3rd, 1989 (12")

Halloween Blizzard of '91 (30")

Black Friday Storm of '91 (14.3")

March 24th-25th, 1996 (10.4")

March 8th-9th, 1999 (16" dendritic event on just over 1" of QPF)

Tom,

I never realized that you missed 93 and 96!

I've been in the following big ones of 15" or greater:

Feb 72 - IPT 30" (only storm in the mountains in a year similar to 11-12)

Jan 78 - IPT 16" (had 3 doozys in a week, with this being the largest)

Feb 83 - ABE 22" (massive snow rates)

Feb 87 - ABE 17" (non-descript and surprising storm that hit during the day and shut everything down by evening)

Mar 93 - ABE 21" (who can forget this storm. The second time I'd ever experienced whiteout conditions. Amazing)

Jan 96 - ABE 28" (got 8-10 during Sunday, and woke up Monday morning with the other 20". Blizzard at 3am similar to 83 storm)

Feb 03 - ABE 22" (PDII - what I remember is the cold temps, which were under 10 for storm, winds, and quick start to heavy snow after the virga ended)

Since 2003, there have been several more in the 12-20" range, but Tom has that covered. Looking back, I guess I've been very blessed to have witnessed some of the great ones.
