hawkeye_wx
I was doing something and forgot to even check the radar. The band of precip moving through is all snow. The grass is beginning to whiten a bit. I was expecting rain first. Update: Snowing pretty good now with nice size flakes. Too bad the band is progressive so we won't have time to get a lot. cyclone77
Band of precip is approaching here. Guessing it may be snow even here as MLI and DVN are reporting snow. This would have been an excellent event to test out dual-pol on the DVN scope.
cyclone77
My dad just texted saying they're getting snowflakes the size of cotton balls right now on the east side of the QC lol. He's not one to exaggerate but that seems a little big lol. EDIT: I got my new HD vid cam ready in case that happens here. EDIT2: 2" diameter flakes reported in NW Davenport on the local news station's Facebook page.

Thundersnow12
Holy hell, I'd pay money to see 2" diameter flakes for awhile. Interesting to see what happens as it nears northern IL and this area. 3" is impressive if its legit.

Mogget
Snow, small flakes here in Verona, 10 mi south and west of Madison. Very pretty because it looks like it's pouring down in the street lights. Had to look twice to see if it was rain or snow. Ground is whitened; cars are covered. Roads don't look bad yet...heading out to the gym in a few minutes so I'll be finding out first-hand...

Doesn't look like all that much snow and it'll be melting all day.
BowMeHunter
the little while it snowed here in the mid 30's it stuck to the roads so it must have come down pretty decent.. Dam radar looks like its ripping decent for another hr or so to the north where im heading ice fishing.. guess I'll get a delayed start as rush hr and snow is for the unfortunates going to work.
