As long as it doesn't whiff completely, I think three (maybe 2.5) is a solid bet at this point. If we can get into some of the more intense bands, however, I see 5 being very doable. Temps are down and just waiting for the bulk of the precip.

HRR and RUC smashes us. I mean, intense stuff for 3 hours.

The only thing we are getting up here in Frederick is massive sinus issues from this system. The whole family woke up this morning with sinus headaches. What is the current pressure of this system?

Last I checked, it was 1006mb, way down on the SC / GA border. It's 1018mb here in our neck of the woods. Not very low.....

Not sure if this is the right place for this but here's a SWS for central VA:

... BANDS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW PERSISTING...

BANDS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY WET SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH NORTH OF HIGHWAY 460 THROUGH MID OR LATE AFTERNOON. SOME OF THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL CAN BE EXPECTED FROM TAZEWELL COUNTY NORTHEAST INTO SOUTHEAST WEST VIRGINIA AS WELL AS THE VIRGINIA HIGHLANDS. ANOTHER CORRIDOR OF HEAVIER SNOWFALL WILL OCCUR FROM ROANOKE TO LYNCHBURG AND POINTS NORTH INTO THE SOUTHERN SHENANDOAH VALLEY. SNOWFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR WILL OCCUR IN THESE AREAS PRODUCING A QUICK 2 INCHES OF SNOW MAINLY ON GRASSY SURFACES THROUGH 3 PM. MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO BE ALERT FOR VERY LOW VISIBILITIES WITHIN THESE BANDS OF HEAVIER SNOW AND WATCH FOR DEVELOPING SLICK SPOTS ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.
