Light snow is officially falling in Burke. Not sticking but it lingers briefly on the car. This must be what it's like to be a snow fan in Tallahassee, Florida during a normal winter. Hoping against all hope to see a flake fall and daring to dream that that flake will be on the ground in the morning. What a terrible winter.

Roughly 5-7 inches here in Roanoke. Never did an official measure while out walking, but I could hear numerous tree limbs cracking and falling all around and the occasional transformer blowing from the heavy wet snow. Hopefully we won't lose power. Overall, I'm very pleased with what I got here.

Just drove home from Shirlington. Started as a mix there, at around 40*, and we drove through some really good stuff in Springfield, sitting between 32-34*. By the time we got home, it was falling fairly lightly, at 33*. It looked like some good sticking in Springfield, but the few miles we drove north to get home made a pretty good difference in the rates.

Looking like yet another trace on the year!

Cool stuff.

Select the radar product that you want, set it to loop, toggle full screen mode and then up at the top, toggle menu.

Interestingly, the good echos are not all moving in the same direction, far from it. My guess is there are several small upper level lows at work here.
