WxUSAF
What radar are you lookin at? Dover. I realize the beam is pretty darn high over us, so it's catching mostly virga or the lowering ceilings...but still got echoes overhead.

Nikolai
Radar definitely isn't looking bad for DC--Returns are building nicely and filling in overhead. Once it actually starts snowing I feel like we may be in for a 1-2" surprise? Who knows, but I'd rather have fun as an optimist than be bored as a pessimist... http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=dox&product=N0R&overlay=11101111&loop=yes If I saw the radar without knowing anything about the models, I'd go with accumulating snow. MidlothianWX
I'm near 288/lucks lane... sticking to everything and 1.5 on the deck. I've been hearing sirens for the past 30 minutes...I don't think anyone expected a megaband like this...it's really bad out there.
Jebman
Looks like some light graupel and small snow dendrites mixed in my neighbor's porch light. The streetlights work perfectly when it is 100 degrees with a 79 dewpoint. They don't work at all tonight It's a miracle we don't have plain rain. Once the car top surfaces cool in about 5 hours, I should develop a coating of snow
Nikolai
In my experience (admittedly I've been in NY for the most part since '08) this radar has been the best for showing what's actually falling, and if it's correct then snow is finally on DC's doorstep... start time of 8-830? http://www.wjla.com/weather/radar/

Deck Pic
NW if Ashland. Heaviest yet. I'd say. 1-2"/hr. Nice event. Around 2-3" here. More to the northwest but they are in the best rates so we drove east.
