phlwx
I'm not Tony, but the new 1981-2010 normal is 43.5. I'm not Tony either but the 140 year mean is 42.0. Those ten years average out to 42.7.
Rainshadow
I'm not Tony either. Thanks for answering Adam's question. Given where the MJO is my WAG (for temps) for March would be to go with the average of the recent three. I'd like to save our one below normal month of the year for July. I definitely think warm is the way to go. I'm probably higher than +3 for March overall though. I'd like to save our one below normal month of the year for July. phlwx
Just did a data run on March 98 (that year had four 80 degree days in the last five days of the month). Through 3/24, March 98 was 1.6 degrees below the OLD (71-00) norms (40.4 vs. 42.0) and was actually rather chilly midmonth (three straight 30 degree highs). The end of month heat wave really did a # on the departures.... http://classic.wunderground.com/history/airport/KPHL/1998/3/28/MonthlyHistory.html

How many times has PHL seen a high min >60F in March? Also a high dwpt of 64F for March is pretty crazy. Also, I notice you used the old format for WeatherUnderground. That one still is better than the new version.

Yeah, I use the old version for climate data because it's easier to get what I need. The new version is good for their model maps based on how they have the wundermaps laid out. If they could blend the two together, it would be awesome.

greg ralls
Ha, no problem, Ray! I wasn't sure if maybe it was thrown out so that the meteorological seasons would have the exact same number of dates every year.
