Parsley
No shocker there. Looking outside my window and seeing pansy and dianthus flowers that never died completely this winter........I'm not surprised by those stats. Heck the pansies even have a few new blooms on them. iceman56
With the continued above normal the next two weeks we should get to at least 4th or maybe 3rd place.
greg ralls
BTW, shouldn't that top 10 final list say through February 29th or is that day "thrown out" for meteorological purposes since it doesn't exist every single year?
greg ralls
I did a little research on that all-time warmest winter of 1931-32 and found some other interesting things. Out of the 8" of snow that winter, only 1" of it actually fell in meteorological winter. famartin
The mosquito/stink bug/mayfly season is going to be unbearable. Mosquitos need water. Its been kinda dry lately, and if that continues I imagine the mosquito season might not be that bad.

So i looked at the tropics, 12 named, 4 hurricanes. A very late season, most of the action was in Sept. I don't think any of the stroms were memorable up this way (but I wasn't here). greg ralls
That's pretty neat that the 2 warmest winters featured Marches that were colder than any of the winter months, and also that March was the snowiest month 30% of the time.
