blizzardmeiser
I was referring to the NAM. I wouldn't mention a JB forecast on-air. Glenn He feels the tranfer of energy is further north- between hatteras and norfolk
phlwx
What in the world is he looking at? Or is this just the usual wishcasting to get attention? Glenn The JMA. Quakertown needs snow
Is this really the JB forecast? Glenn Glenn I think JB has lost it. Glad we have you around along with the other great mets in Philly forum

jwilson
Is it safe to say the storm is south? Probably not, but for us in particular winter has either run north or south of this year if the current model prognosis is confirmed. How annoying. I miss '09-'10 winter already. phlwx
Jeez, some people in there with a degree should really know better than to hug the NAM when it's the northern outlier on a south trend...
SnowGoose69
JB could be biting on the fact the NAM blew away every other model in the 2/6/10 event with a somewhat similar type event that was shunted east by confluence. He may be forgetting though that a few other models were slightly north of the NAM for that storm, including the GFS. And in this case the NAM would only show 6 inches in S NJ and we know the NAM always overdoes QPF anyway so .75 would verify probably at .55 to .60 or something in that area. LMolineuxLM1
Hey why doesnt everyone just get their snow shovels out and go out and pretend to shovel the snow off of their driveways and sidewalks and decks, just to feel like they got some use out of their snow shovels. Go out have some fun play some music while doing so. LOL. Just shovel your pain away.
JTA66
I just want to make sure I got this right: 6 or more inches of snow this weekend + 3 inches this past Tuesday + 3-6 inches last weekend. That's 9"-15" of snow JB forecasted for MBY these last week. Hmm.
greg ralls
Dude thats a nice development...a bunch of us should get together for drinks some time in the area. That would be great! I was going to go to the one GTG at Dave & Buster's a year or two ago, but I had a bad cold.
phlwx
if parsley, cast, and jct are up for it we should have a N & W get-together at Chickie's in Audubon or Champps in Collegeville.
96blizz
I look at JB as the guy that spreads the rumor about his, well, you know...we're adults. Sure, it gets out there and people get excited about the idea, but when the actual event occurs, there's widespread letdown.

ChescoWx
I am a big JB fan but this has really been the roughest stretch I have ever seen from him. I mean no Met had a great 2011-12 forecast but what really hurts him is his stubborness to change when it is clear he needs to. All that said he remains a great source of information and analysis and I will no doubt stay with Weatherbell....what can I say I also have Accuweather and NJPA subscriptions. I like to hear all angles. I have heard Weatherbell is doing very well and I have no doubt JB will recover from this tough year. The way JB is going right now, I don't know why anybody subscribes to him. I mean hell, at this point it's like he ignores the obvious, to appease the weenies. Which equals subscriptions. And no matter how bad he busts, those same weenies will buy his next outrageous forecast hook, line, and sinker.
