2/19 East Coast Winter Storm Threat (Part 2)

Forecasts should be about 95% based on the Euro down south.  GFS/NAM are garbage.  18z GFS started to handle the s/w complex much more like the Euro.  It's pulled the trailing sw NE by quite a bit and I suspect in the later run tonight will show they really don't "phase" but are two disjointed lobes of energy...again like the Euro.

GFS went strongly that way at 18z. If this was us under the gun, the red flags would be flying and the weenies be buggin'.

Not going to be pretty tonight.

That SS seems weak and disorganized, could be a total bust if this does not blow up.

Storm mode rules say he will be suspended for that

We've been in heartbreak all winter. I feel like these last 3 months have been a complete waist of time and anticipation. I wish I could have them back. And it's not like there are different activities opened up by lack of snowfall. It's just one complete suckfest.

Same here. I think to all the time I spend tracking nonsense.pattern changes etc...Time I could have spent doing things more worthwhile. It's a sickening hobby.and when it doesn;t produce..it's very frustrating and trying. I am beaten

You just need to find some new hobbies. This winter has been great if you like doing anything outdoors like biking, running, rollerblading, hiking etc. Can't get any better than this in a winter.

I just feel bad for the dudes down there trying to justify the NAM into being correct. Going to be a fiasco this evening.

All those hobbies don't really appeal to me, and no where good to hike. Running outside sucks around here. It's not like we need S+, clearly there are winters that generally suck around here, but this winter takes the cake for everything. Just plain boredom.

I don't think you have a good sense of that forum's dynamics. Not going to be a fiasco at all even if the NAM shows partly cloudy.

I would rather run outside in the cold and snow. Last year was great, it felt like Rocky IV, training in Russia.

I wouldn't rather run in the cold. But I do love running in the spring when everything is melted except for the massive snow banks that remain after a great winter.

I remember it was either late April or early May 2001. It was in the 80's outside, and there were huge snow piles still around outside the baseball field we were playing on. We would have practice for a couple hours and then just fall into the snow. Felt great

Yeah I bet. It was like that after the April Fools storm as well.
