MaineJayhawk
fyp The pattern has gotten to me. Typically in mid-Feb I'd be horrified by 32F+ temps. This year, I don't even care if it's 50F and raining. The patchy snow I have left is useless.
dryslot
This system as we get closer seems to be getting weaker and further south as mentioned earlier...
dendrite
lol. The euro is more south. Looks like nada for DC and the gradient over RIC.
Mr Torchey
I think its safe to say we can replace storm mode with spring mode? Feel bad for the peeps down south, but this is getting ugly fast.

I'm ready for spring....was out looking for crocuses today, not popping up yet. Mud season is upon us today actually. We are 4-6 weeks ahead of schedule. Mr Torchey
I gave it a run for 17 days, winter just never came. Its amazing, truly amazing how this has all played out, complete opposite of last year but thats the way the cookie crumbles. I really hope the cpc maps for april and may are correct, if so we should all be pretty happy about spring..........hopefully this pattern along with higher than normal sst's and dry soil conditions can give everyone a best spring ever. It would certainly be fitting if this ns evergy saves boston from futility saturday night.
Ginx snewx
This is not last weekend though. Last weekend was always a dead ratter. It was an open wave, lacking the mechanisms for any good banding. This storm is different. That deformation field reaches the south coast, and boom, there'll be a stripe of moderate accumulations south coast of South Carolina?
Cold Miser
I'm pretty sure it was Ryan, who back in October said that the Halloween weekend storm may be the biggest snow some folks see all season. As far as my backyard goes, so far he is correct. Snowthrower used ONCE this year (January), and even then I didn't really need to use it.

The cutting off of your head doesn't count as one? so you used it twice, once was for a good reason the other was to remove snow.

I am probably one of the few people who actually enjoy blowing snow around. Last year I almost reached my limit. It wasn't the amount of times, it was the depth I was dealing with. Far cry from this season's laugh-fest of a winter.
