I know this really isn't Central PA per say but as we await the heavy heavy torching poised to take over in a couple days check out what has been happening in the Arctic the last several weeks.

It could have an effect mid to late month.

One last cold plunge building in the arctic, could interact with a strong, high energy storm that we've seen the past two weeks.

Remember two Friday nights ago, limited moisture, but abundant energy helped spark those intense snow bands.

So I guess it's worth keeping somewhat of an eye on.

Part of me really is pulling for a big April snow just because after the crappy winter and the October snow, it would be just plain ridiculous.

Said on the news there was thundersnow in Johnstown. Looking at cams, there seems to be rough travel on Chickaree Mountain and around the Galleria in Johnstown.

Had some thunder at my place around 5pm. We ended up with 3.5" last night. Did a little late season sledding with my son. Good times in an otherwise boring winter...

Yeah, Winter arrives just in time for baseball/softball season! :axe:

I hope not, but on a side note, one of my friends on FB posted this graphic showing a forecast for the JAS period being cooler than normal. That would just suck if something like that were to verify.

Wednesday and Thursday look to be AWESOME.

I didn't experience snow and baseball/softball until I moved to Pittsburgh and played here. Only time I'll wear a batting glove, lol.

Crap.....I can already see the fungus diseases growing in my garden. That also looks like a wet pattern.

The first thing that came to my mind was "Oh great, another tomato blight year". Although, a slightly cooler than average summer would be fine with me as I tend to not do well in heat and humidity, plus, since we all saved some money on winter heating bills, why not save some more on summer cooling!

As much as I love cold and snow....as I am getting older I come to realize I love Spring 60's and sun too. Scares me a bit actually.

I agree with this. I do find myself looking forward to warmer days as I age but I still prefer shorter days and cold weather. Is there such a thing as opposite seasonal affective disorder?

If you guys knew how obsessively I track summer showers/average thunderstorms on radar during dry periods, you'd think.....well, you'd think I was waywayway into gardening.

I am talking more intensively than snow.

Hello, spring! Funny, we're flying to Houston tonight for a wedding, returning Sunday.

Go figure it doesn't rain for a year in Texas, yet the four days we'll be there it's going to rain every single day. The wedding's outside Saturday too. Or should I say, was scheduled to be outside.
