Light snow now reported at Bradford.

It has to be on your doorstep if not snowing already.

Started just before 1130P. It is dumping right now. Radar looks fantastic, good returns. Heck I'm seeing 35-40Dbz showing up, even pecks near 50! Man I bet places in the Black forest area in Potter are crushing right now.

Incredible fat wet flakes. Temp 33.2F. I love this type of snow. It is an awesome feeling when you can look up into the sky and pretend you can dodge the individual flakes. Best kind of snow when you feel like that! Already up to .5" . Started to see what the hourly rate would be starting at 12A. It is going to be close to 1"/hr , maybe higher rates in a little bit. Unfortunately, I won't be able to take pictures tonight, my sister is away and she took my camera :(

You're in store for 3-5 hrs of crushing.

This.

BTW, two coworkers have plans to drive to Pittsburgh out 22 tomorrow am.....when I told them its' going to be a rough drive, they had no idea what I was talking about.

Yeah... looks a little squally for sure. Gonna look like winter for a whole day or so...

I'm headed out to Pittsburgh tomorrow as well on a bus...heh, funny -- last time I went to Pitt there was also high winds on the way down.

(ETA: It did not snow here in Hazleton. The winter of 2011 - 12 continues to underwhelm.)

Suppose to have a high of 50. Currently sitting at 38F.

The rain overnight tracked further south than the models had indicated over the last several days... temps then fell overnight when they were expected to hover in the 50s or upper 40s where most of the forecast highs came from. The easterly wind today locked in the colder temperatures and moisture to keep the clouds thick. We should see a rapid warm up right before the front 10 degrees or so then right back to where it has been most of today when the winds pick up...

Augusta, GA apparently had golf ball sized hail... dont think you can find much more ironic than that lol

Really scary stuff here.

Get ready because the last few wind advisories were lame.

In the last hour I have had several wind gust over 50 with branches down and windows rattling.

If it holds together moving across the state.... look out!

I haven't had the high winds quite yet. Highest gust so far is only 16 mph. So I hope I can get in on the wind fun soon!

This is what worries me. I (sauss too I'd bet) gets downdrafts from Blue Mountain and that funnels through the river valley and picks up a lot of speed in this little microclimate here.

F I hate wind.

The good news: no leaves on the trees. Sure, we still get some branches/trees down, but not nearly as many if the trees had already leafed out.

Anyone else notice the bust of QPF amounts? I saw average amounts forecasted between .75- 1" . Did anyone get that? Also noticed that the band of "heavy" precip also formed a little south of model guidence.

Side note. That .07" for Shinglehouse isn't my total, that is an old measuring station that isn't accurate at all. I had .19" . My totals aren't added to the coop maps yet, I'm still concidered an unoffical coop observer, because I have to have 2years of reporting and I'm not quite there yet. Granite, these are just totals from last night, but most areas haven't recieved much rain as forecasted today. I'v only had .13" of rain so far so only .32" compared to the .75-1" QPF model forecast for this storm.
