OKpowdah
Hey, why not root for a season where 60-65% of the days are below 60F?? and that is just the high temps...not where most of the day resides. Are you describing this winter?

dendrite
Thank goodness for the high sun angle. Without it the current 13.6F with 26mph gusts would feel chilly. It's been a great day for hucking the disk.
ORH_wxman
I hope you're enjoying your negative wind chills with no snow on the ground Sounds like frisbee weather...you should organize a GTG up in NH during mid April when you have an east wind at 44F to celebrate the best season of the year. Isotherm
I'll be looking for snow until April, and quite frankly, would like a very cold/snowy April to make up for the lost spring months we've had this winter. But I won't be hunched over my laptop though, I have good posture.
ineedsnow
yeah gets me everytime The results of the poll are pretty much as I expected. Ineedsnow is deff lying though, he'll be on here for every run once we get some threats.

Brian5671
I'm tossing the towel in...another week of 45-50 and little to no precip-hell, no rain to be found either. these 7-10 day storms never materialize nor does anything beyond a day or two of cold....Met spring begins in 2 weeks or so and Daylight savings begins a month from yesterday--bring it. ma blizzard
With names like mablizzard and ineedsnow voting for early spring, guys with snow in their names, you know it's been bad. At this point I am ready for warmer weather, but if there is anything remotely intresting to track (any form of winter weather really) , I will be looking at the models all day long. I know it is a lot more likely to have 2005 perpetual 3 week nor'easter during may than it is to have nice weather, so might as well look for the snow threats into april .. Damage In Tolland
How will everyone enjoy their spring wx? 40's and sun..What will everyone do outside to maximize that weather? Will you lay out and start early on the tan? Will you put a fresh coat of tar on the driveway? Maybe paint the exterior of the house? Stain the deck? Walk in the woods and mud? Figure mornings will be in the 20's and temps will dip quickly in the evening..LEt us know how you'll enjoy it
ORH_wxman
LOL..............we have had more snow than orh in the last month..............LOL I highly doubt you had 13.6" of snow in the last month...unless you lie about your snow totals from 1/21. Vinyl here. walk in the woods and mud-might walk in the woods, but no mud since we're had no precip. - I will enjoy not tracking every single run of the models only to see flurries verify....that is for sure. - the increased sun angle will make 50 feel real nice. OKpowdah
Also let me add a LOL for the faux arctic airmass, low 30s today, and low to mid 40s for the rest of the week. This winter has been so warm, low 40s feel cold, and low 30s feel brutal. meh, this is a legit arctic airmass up here in Plymouth at least. Temperature barely made it to 10F this afternoon, and is starting the descent. Wind chill has been below zero all day.
OKpowdah
Make sure you start the severe wx threat thread for March pretty soon. I'm eagerly awaiting your thunderstorms next month. lol. Using the word "severe" in describing thunderstorms in New England is a stretch any time of the year. I'm not saying we get thunderstorm events in March, I'm saying I'd *prefer* having those conditions over marginal snowstorm threats that ultimately fail to produce. Essentially this winter is acting like the usual "severe weather season" in New England.
OKpowdah
Isn't that a "normal" winter day for Plymouth though? Climo here for this time of the year is highs around 30, lows in low teens.
