andyhb
As we are less than 3 weeks away from meteorological Spring, throw in your guesses for the first SPC high risk of 2012... I'm gonna go March 18th (day of my birthday) in the Mid-South/Lower MS Valley.

AcworthWx
I'd say the period of March27-April 4. If I had to pin pont it down to a specific day, I guess it would be March 29th in the GL/OV area. I feel they are going to have a few this season, unfortunately. tornadotony
heh, close if the 06z GFS is right. Yeah, that's not accidental.
andyhb
Wow...is all I have to say... 12z GFS (although Euro does have it) is weaker and 18z has virtually nothing though.
JoMo
Wow...is all I have to say... 12z GFS (although Euro does have it) is weaker and 18z has virtually nothing though. It's back from the dead.
andyhb
Yeah, that doesn't look good It seems the GFS wants to have something in the 10-11 day range...whether that will come into fruition is another story entirely obviously, and I would like to see one of these solutions make it into the earlier time frame, which hasn't exactly happened yet. trapperman
And... it's back. And... King Euro is showing monster west coast trough day 10. I'll go Feb 27, mid south to lower lakes...
iowahawkeyedave
Lot will probably change, but I'm going to have to go with March 4th, from Missouri down into Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Hoosier
I think there is a shot on March 2 if we see something resembling the recent model runs. So I will go with March 2 OV/Mid-South.
Chinook
Today was close with a 15% hatched area for tornadoes. That's a pretty decent risk.
Jonbo
I think there is a shot on March 2 if we see something resembling the recent model runs. So I will go with March 2 OV/Mid-South. Looking like it could be March 2nd based on Day 2 already having a MDT risk and some of the stronger wording from some of the offices in the area.
