weatherwiz
Yes, it is actually going to snow tomorrow. Some areas, mainly out in eastern MA and towards the Cape will have a bit more in the way of fun with the snow as some of these areas could potentially pick up as much as 5-7'' of snow or even slightly more if some good banding develops across this area like some models are hinting at. Anyways for a great deal of us this is really nothing major...sure it's exciting to see some snow given how this winter has gone but by the time you take your morning **** Sunday morning and wipe your *** 95% of the snow will be gone (ok...not this much but give it a few days and it will be). Anyways with the passage of this strong Arctic front comes bitter cold and some really strong winds. Forecast soundings on Sunday show a well mixed atmosphere with strong winds aloft and very steep low level lapse rates. This should yield to some strong wind gusts across the region. In fact bufkit model data suggest we could see gusts of 45-55 mph occur across the entire region for a large part of Sunday lasting into the evening. This could create isolated power outages across the region. I would think wind advisory criteria is more than possible.
