you should start to mix soon. the fact that you are down to 37F already bodes well for you getting some snow out of this i think.

Sounds good. I wasn't that optimistic. My wife is bringing my daughter over to Tony Kent Arena to play hockey with the Cape Cod Waves this afternoon. At least someone in my family will see some snow. Lol

Steady light snow falling here Rick. After being in AK all this hub bub about a nuisance snowfall seems pathetic. lol

LOL... I still get excited about snow showers no matter where I am or how much snow I've seen. I guess it just depends on how much you really love snow.

And until you move to AK, you still live in Mass. ;)

Alaska is on my bucket list though... you're lucky to have friends and means to get out there.

i'm looking forward to that as well.

glad you had a nice trip out there.

If you think I troll you guys now just wait until I'm there. It's going to be brutal.

Don't get me wrong, I'm psyched it's snowing. Furthermore, I believe we'll be seeing some good events before the season is up. I am lucky to have my close friends already there. All I pay for is airfare.

Things look good for the Cape, Phil. Looking a bit more closely now... surprisingly impressive dendritic growth through the event. Efficient snow growth and good accumulating dendrites should get you to advisory level without much of a problem.

Yeah I agree Ryan. Things look almost identical to how they looked yesterday out here. Only difference is it is a bit colder.

6z models pretty impressive with omega for a decent period today. The fact that it lines up nearly perfectly with the SGZ is a bonus!

Steve is going to get into some moderate soon... nice band developing over Suffolk County and Long Island Sound pushing north.

'Cmon, guys....be objective.

Goes down as one of the worst model failures for the euro and ncep. Rgem never bought into the higher amounts and was right. Pulled the plug yesterday. Did not look good at midnight and like I said pre 0z never in my life do I remember a system working out that had almost all the meaningful precip off the east coast to start. I remember substantial busts about every 7-8 years with this type of system on average, distinctly remember one with showegler and co in the 80s and Kent prior.

I don't know why our how models failed to model the southern sw well, it does appear the deal breaker was the weak system that traversed the south central gom and off florida. Added even more strength to the well offshore theory, total mess.
