euro w/ underground maps show accums for NW chunk of CT and Berks this evening...up to couple inches ..("jpot" nw ct)....then they show some coatings for Tolland hills over to near an inch in Orh Hills toward midnite

I can confirm that....we've had some coatings here this afternoon. Glad it's ahead of schedule.

BTW, I wouldn't call them the Tolland Hills. They really don't have a name outside of the Northeast Hills or the Quinebaug Highlands or perhaps the extreme southern portion of the ORH Hills which is all part of what is known as the Eastern New England Uplift. Tolland is on the extreme southern end of the plateau. In fact, the highest point in Tolland is not much higher than the mean elevation for the northern part of my town and along the MA Border.

Yeah the highest point in Tolland is Bald Hill at just about 1100 feet

I'm still at the office and it's actually snowing in Windsor

Yeah, you should have a white ground in Tolland when you get home. It's mostly white here at 650'.

I thought so. The whole area from you NW through Somers and NE through Union is a good plateau. Along the MA border elevations are generally 1,000' in the "valley's" and 1,2-300' for the tops of hills. It peters out south and east of there with 5-800' hills.

Solid 1/2" on the ground here. Very wet snow, but roads are beginning to slush up a bit. PSF had moderate snow last check, which I can confirm is occurring. May get a solid inch, maybe 2 out of this. 2K may come in with a spot 2.5 or 3".

Damn! and I was just going to post a rub-it-in statement about how this cold rain turns out to be the best event of the week - ahaha.
